McKayla Rose Maroney retired from athletic gymnastics, and went on to become an acclaimed singer. She was a member of the American women's gymnastics team dubbed"the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics at which she won gold in the team and a silver medal for her own in the vault competition.
