Mitchell's closest friend Angela 15, who was fifteen years old at the time of her death in an accident with a vehicle and a car, also wrote about her incident. Mitchell was devastated by this and wrote the song Angel to Angela on her debut album. She also wrote about the incident in the novel Chicken Soup for the Preteen Soul and in the 7th Heaven episode Nothing Endures But Change.
