Jessica's actions caused a lot of discord among her followers. She quit 7th Heaven at the end of the sixth season. Her praiseworthy acting as a teenage Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant notoriety. In this film, she received the award for Best Young Supporting actress. Comedy film Summer Catch bears the proof of her incredible acting abilities. In spite of her outstanding performance, Rules of Attraction was not a big hit. The Texas Chainshaw Massacre horror film had the attention of the general public. She also has experience in thriller and suspense films.
