Aspen Ladd's fight sport experience began when she was 14 years old. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd was able to continue building upon her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She defeated all her opponents within the first round. After that, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Ladd bounced back from her defeat to win against Roma Pawelek, taking her record to 8-1. Aspen turned professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's formidable wrestling ability was able to take down McGill, and she was able finish her opponent in the 3rd round by TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She took on Hoy using a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd did not make an appearance at the weigh-in. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she ended her fight with a TKO. It was Invicta's FC 21 that she fought her last fight for the company. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd debuted in the UFC in the 118th UFC Fight Night 118, with a bout against Lina Langsberg. She outclassed Lina, and used ground-and-pound to take the win via TKO during the second round. She remained dominant and picked up a more impressive win in her next bout against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd ended Evinger during the first round as well as a win of the night's bonus. Sijara Eubanks of Invicta FC was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd took victory by a unanimous vote. Both fighters received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, which was enough to end her win streak. She bounced back, and defeated Yana Kunitskaya after the third round at UFC in ESPN 7. In her most recent fight with the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a substitute fight. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
