Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. Her film career began in Mexico and she appeared in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) that resulted in an Ariel Award nomination. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood with appearances in films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's role as Frida Kahlo, a painter, in Frida (2002) the biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination [6for the role of Frida Kahlo in Frida (2002). In addition, she received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations. Hayek continued to make films, while starring in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico in subsequent years.
